I cast on yesterday for Seascape from the new issue of Knitty Online Knitting Magazine. It's in Bobby Blue Malabrigo Laceweight. I love bold graphic quality of this design, it's doesn't strike me as especially feminine but it's lovely and reminds me of eyes from a Picasso painting, isn't that funny?
I'm just about through the first bit and ready for the main pattern. And yes, I did scan my knitting at work! And look, metal straight needles, there's something I rarely use.
And I've started up again on my Forecast cardigan, also from Knitty, but from a few years back. It looks about the same as when I last posted it, so no new photo.
I wish I had pictures to share of the 12 or so princess dresses I made for kids at my daughter's school this month. They had a medieval festival and my daughter's royal title for the day was the name of this post. Wouldn't it be lovely to be that person?

That pattern is fleepin flurpin gorgeous, and plenty feminine. I want to make one myself, in fact.
I love that shawl pattern too--and the yarn... The shawl I made with it is one of my favorite things I've ever made. Ever.
i now totally want to make that shawl. did you buy two skeins of malabrigo lace or are you hoping to get it out of one skein? don't worry - i am a copy cat, but i won't use bobby blue for mine!
Ooh, I'm making that one too. I love it! I happened to have three skeins of kidsilk haze that I meant to make Birch with, but got a little scared. 83 stitches seemed much more doable than 299!
