Cute or No? Bear?...Bunny?
A dear little friend of ours turns two this week, so here is a bitty bit of crochet amigurumi that I managed to pull off in 24 hours. Using some stash (Cascade 220 yarn in pink plus a little vintage thrifted yarn in white) and a pattern from a Japanese crochet pattern book that I purchased last year. The button eyes are something my mother in law just happened to have, and normally I wouldn't put chokey parts on a toy for a two year old, but I do trust this little girl, and I know her mother would say it's fine. I crocheted the nose a total of three times before I called it good. And everything is a little lopsided and unbalanced but overall I am fairly pleased. Remember, this is only the third thing I've ever crocheted. And, yes, it does have one bigger leg, and I don't mind...much. I had two inches of pink yarn to spare once I was done, how's that for excitement?
Happy Birthday Harley Sugar, we love you!

I would call it a bear, and it is fabulous - certainly better than I could ever do, I am sure! And your bib is GREAT! You are one creative momma :-)
Definitely a bear!
No!! I meant a bunny! Not a bear.
Cute. Bunny. Love the wobbly grin!
Adorable. He will be much loved.
Bearny! Supremely gorgeous bib.
Did I mention that I wish my name was Harley?
It's bear-y cute!
