This is my third try at the Seascape shawl. The first one was started in Malabrigo lace, and it actually started felting in my hands as I knit. My second try was halfhearted in Zephyr laceweight in a color that I just wasn't feeling. This third attempt is in Louet KidLin, and I love the yarn, the color, the sheen, the halo...I keep stopping to pet the soft & pretty yarn as I knit. And yet I am making decent progress, just over two weeks and I'm more than halfway. I entertained the notion that I could finish it in time for a party this weekend, but that was a long shot.
And in just for the heck of it, I was going through some of my vintage patterns the other day, and I noticed something that never caught my eye before. See what's on the cover of this Workbasket? It's the original Hemlock Doily Pattern that was the inspiration for Brooklyntweed's Hemlock Blanket.

That's so funny. You need to find another awesome doily to convert into a blanket to become the newest viral knit.
That's really pretty! I love the pink color you picked out!
Don't pet it too much...It is gorgeous. To me you are like a rocket scientist- seriously,
