Feeling Royal

I got two fillings and a temporary crown today. 2 1/2 hours of dental misery. Good thing I had a bunch of knitting podcasts to distract me from the giant rubber wedge (think of a fat doorstop) they shoved between my molars to keep my tiny mouth open and my jaw from spasming. On the downside, the wedge activated my gag reflex, as did the the giant wand on the "digital mold" machine. It took all I had to not vomit. Dude, if someone is sticking a giant wand in my mouth, they better be buying me dinner, not hitting me with a huge bill while I'm still numbed up...I'm just saying.

Ahem. So guess what I got in the mail, a package from my friend to the North, that fabulous and talented Ms. Brazil! Presents for me, whee! Check out those cute dresses, I want to make some. Thanks Susan, you rock!

In other news, I Gocco-ed again and what fun! Another 5 year old drawing, a princess with crown and chandelier. We mixed some red and green for one of the prints.

And I am back at work on my SpringGrass Socks after some unfortunate ripping due to an error on the first repeat.

Lookee what I picked up at the thrift store, some nylon needles, these were purchased for the labels more than my love of nylon needles. But it never hurt to have some extra needles around so I am sure that they will come in handy.

Sorry about the dentist. Yuck. But what a lot of other good stuff you've got there. Way cute dress patterns, and your gocco projects--love!

I've been having a hell of a time commenting on your blog lately, but dammit, I'm going to make it work this time.

I can't wait to see those dresses! What a cute pattern... and my sympathies on the dentist trip. Nothing like trying to figure out the dentist bill with a mouth numb and drooling.
