I have made plenty of progress on Rusted Root in the past few days. It really helps to drag it along everywhere and have my husband do all of the driving.
I was cruising along and then this lovely yarn came in the mail, Karabella Majestic, a discontinued soft and lovely merino/mohair blend. It was good price through Destash and I paid for it with money I made from my own destashing.
Now I am really trying to follow through on my projects but I am so tempted to ditch the ropey cotton/wool blend (I have blisters and callouses but I was determined) and switch to this luxurious yarn. I really want to make the Rowena Cardigan. It is not exactly the same for gauge but it may be only a difference of one needle size compared to the specified Lana Gatto Feeling, and the 13 skeins I received puts me within 80 yards of the specified yardage.
Do you think I can make it work?

I'm amazed at how far you got on rusted root. I really love that color with the pattern, it "pops!"

The are both gorgeous! You can always make the sleeves just shy of 3/4 length.
Oh, I love that cardigan, and your Rusted Root looks fantastic. You should go ahead and start the Rowena; it'll be nice to have two totally different textures to choose between. And if it ever actually starts to warm up around here, that'll push you back to knitting the Root.
Rusted Root is so pretty! I like the color you chose for it. And the cardigan is gorgeous.
That cardigan is really beautiful. Since I'm not a knitter, I can't tell you if it would work....but I say to try! There's always ebay, maybe you can make up the difference if you run out.
