Robin's Egg Cowl
Sometime during the prior school year I brought my spinning wheel to preschool and did some spinning with a bunch of 2 to 5 year olds. Some kids spun for a few minutes, and others were really engaged and spun for 20 minutes or more. We used a lovely blue Merino, and the resulting yarn was a small amount of thick and thin yarn.
I set the yarn aside for the better part of a year, and after several false starts this weekend I made this cowl in about 2 hours. The needles were uncomfortably large. I settled on a pattern of my own devising, and it actually came out more even looking and pretty than I was anticipating.
I made this with one of the teachers in mind, and it really is a good color for her. I do think that she really liked it, and it truly looks so much better on her than in these pictures!
preschoool-spun Merino
1/2 inch diameter aluminum knitting needles
pattern consists of 16 stitches, reverse garter stitch with a four-stitch center cable One big fat cream colored button from the button drawer.

That is so sweet!
I'm sure she'll just love it knowing how many little hands made it.
Nice!
It looks so pretty!
