Minding My Own Business

Sometimes when life is so extremely hectic and you are too busy to do things like go to knitting night and you keep pushing to get things done...That's when someone rear-ends you so that you'll stop and say, wow, now I really need to stop and rest and take care of myself. And you'll be really grateful that your kids weren't in the car, and that you are going to be OK. And then you'll also appreciate painkillers.

Oh noes! I was kinda wondering why you weren't at knitting but I wanted to give you space and not be too clingy. Do you need anything? I'm not all that good at nursing type of stuff, but I'm quite good at shopping at Whole Foods or Trader Joes so if you need me to bring by some gluten free treats for ya, let me know. Feel free to call or email if you need anything!!!!!!!

Ouch! That happened to us last year. Take care of your body- stretching, massage, etc- it takes a while.

Eek! Are you all right? Is your car all right?

I know the feeling exactly, except for the kids part. Don't push yourself too quickly. Savor what you can of the enforced rest.

Crap! We got rear-ended last week too. Though it sounds like it was worse for you. I didn't have to touch the painkillers, though my back bumper is no more.

Take good care!

Hope you're doing okay and the painkillers work their magic.
