Scarf Season
I couldn't resist casting on for the Grownup Bonnet from Knit 2 Together last night. It's a pretty scarf with an attached hood. I am using the lovely merino worsted yarn that I picked up in Chicago, buttery soft Malabrigo. This color (#184, Shocking Pink) must be dyed with Cochineal because it has that sweet smell and distinctive color.
There is something so comforting and satisfying about a simple ribbed scarf on size 8 after working lace socks on size 1 needles. Plus handling this yarn is so soft and soothing, I guess that's what I am needing this week.
I see that I'm not the only one working on a scarf with this yarn.

Haha - malabrigo sure is popular all of a sudden isn't it?? =) Glad you succumbed to the siren song too!
I've also been seduced. Will post later :-)
It is wonderful to make that needle size switch at the end of a project. Such a refreshing change. Love the color you've chosen.
